The disappointment in the election results came in the race for Toledo Public Schools Board of Education.
The lines were clear; if you wanted union-driven status quo, your vote went to Jack Ford or Lisa Sobecki. If you wanted progressive change, your vote went to Cheryl Catlin or Chris Myers. By wide margins, voters played it safe, casting more than twice as many votes for Ford (31 percent) and Sobecki (30.6 percent) as they did for Myers (13 percent) and Catlin (11 percent).
